Installing Belkasoft Evidence Center

To install Belkasoft Evidence Center, unpack the archive you have downloaded from the Belkasoft site and run the executable file. The installation wizard will guide you through the installation steps.
Make sure that the verified publisher name is Belkasoft OOO and answer Yes to the User Access Control question:
Installing MS SQL Server database
After accepting the license agreement, selecting a proper installation folder, etc, you will be prompted to install MS SQL Server.
Please select your setup to figure out how to install:

You have Internet and no SQL Server installed

You have Internet but your Windows is other than English
-
You do not have Internet and no SQL Server installed
-
You already have SQL Server installed
- You plan to work with huge cases (larger than 10Gb)
If you have any problems with automatic installation of SQL Server database, inspect its installation file which is placed under your folder at C:\Users\YOUR NAME HERE\AppData\Local\Temp\SqlSetup.log (for subsequent installation it will be C:\Users\YOUR NAME\AppData\Local\Temp\SqlSetup_1.log).

Creating SQL Server database
On this page you will be prompted to select a database instance to work with.
Click on Next. Select any available instance shown on the list and click on Install.
The product will create a database named Case in the selected SQL Server instance and will be configured to work with this instance and this database.
Tuning the product for HFS/HFS+ and ext* file systems
If you are going to work with Mac OS X or *nix file systems, please contact Belkasoft support for additional instructions of how to increase product performance.
License
In order to make the product fully functional, you need to put your license file to the product folder. Please see instructions of what to do with license file in this article.
