FBI - out new customer!
Belkasoft is proud to welcome our new customer - the FBI (the Federal Bureau of Investigation, USA). The fact of purchasing our software by this world-wide known organization proves Belkasoft's leadership in Instant Messenger forensic investigation. New editions of Belkasoft Forensic Studio and Belkasoft Browser Analyzer
Belkasoft has recently released 3 new editions of Browser Analyzer (Standard, Professional and Ultimate) and 4 new editions of its Forensic Studio (Home, Standard, Professional and Ultimate). What was previously known as the Personal edition is now called Home and has the same functionality. The former Corporate edition is the same as Standard. The Professional and Ultimate editions are upgrades on top of Standard.

If you are an existing Belkasoft customer, please, note that we changed the keys for version 2.0 of both tools. Therefore if you would like to upgrade, please, request a new key. Upgrade from version 1.* to 2.0 is free if you select the same edition (Personal to Home, or Corporate to Standard).

Beta 3 of Forensic Carver product
We have released a third Beta-version of our Forensic Carver product. It now supports 17 types of deleted Instant Messenger data retrieval and 9 types of Instant Messenger Live RAM extraction:

Premium Support is now available
To those of our customers who appreciate getting help promptly and solving problems in the real time, we now offer a Premium Support subscription. In addition to the regular support, which is done via email and our forum, Premium Support subscribers can request support via Instant Messenger of their choice or Skype. This support is available for Forensic Studio and Forensic IM Analyzer products.

SANS 2010 European Digital Forensics Summit and FT-Day
Belkasoft announces their intention to participate in two upcoming IT-forensics events: SANS 2010 European Digital Forensics Summit and FT-Day.

The SANS event will take place in London on September 8-9. FT-Day will be conducted in Karlsruhe, October 12. Please follow the links above and consider attending - both events sound very promising!

We will be happy to personally meet our British and German customers, who will be attending this event.

Problems with Encase images mounting
Many of our customers have recently complained that the product no longer shows correct results while searching against Encase evidence mounted as a network share and produces a huge error log. Unfortunately, this is a problem of the new Encase version which we cannot fix. However, we can suggest two workarounds:

  1. If you have a Physical Disk Emulator Encase module, you should choose Mount as a Physical Disk, not Mount as a Network Share
  2. If you do not have this module, you can upgrade to the Professional version of our tool which has support own image mounting facilities and, thus, does not have the mentioned problem

We have addressed an improvement request to Guidance Software so hopefully this problem will be fixed soon.

New reseller agreements
We are proud to announce two new Belkasoft resellers have signed agreements with us recently: Interactive Group, Pakistan and Kumanan PC Net, Japan.

Please use the help of these companies if you have difficulties with purchasing the software from abroad. A variety of issues related to Belkasoft products are usually solved by regional companies.
