Intelligence edition of Belkasoft Forensic IM Analyzer
Belkasoft has recently announced the release of the new edition of their flagship product, Belkasoft Forensic IM Analyzer. This edition is called "Intelligence". Why?

The distinctive feature of this edition is that it can be run from a flash drive and does not require to be installed on a target machine - neither the product itself, nor third-party libraries (including Microsoft.NET Framework). This enables you user to investigate computers "in the field" outside the forensic lab, e.g. in an Internet cafe. Unlike other editions, the Intelligence edition does not require to be run under Administrator.

Unfortunatly, the flip side of these incredible advantages are the following disadvantages:

• The software is only available for the police or law enforcement bodies
• If you run the software under a non-privileged user, some information may be not recovered depending on a computer security configuration. For example, you may not be allowed to search through Documents and Settings folders belonging to other users of the computer; you may not be able to use the carving features, etc
• You cannot download and evaluate the software. However, you can evaluate Ultimate edition of the tool, which is absolutely the same in terms of the core functionality

Belkasoft Browser Analyzer bugfixes
Belkasoft has made a number of bugfixes in their Browser Analyzer tool. What is worthy of note is that the product no longer fails to find Firefox version 3 histories under certain circumstances. The problem has successfully been fixed, and you can download the updated version from our site. Belkasoft Forensic Studio has been updated correspondingly.
