New build of Belkasoft Evidence Center
Belkasoft has released a new build of our flagship tool, Belkasoft Evidence Center. There have been a number of improvements:
  • Skype 4 and Skype chatsync analysis improved
  • Skype profile name is now the same as the name of a profile owner (not "main.db" as before)
  • Skype group chats presentation improved
  • Incorrect direction for Skype file transfers fixed
  • New version of imdisk software incorporated into the software so that multi-part images (e.g. created with Tableau) are processed without errors now
  • #255 and #252 symbols in a folder name which previously led to inability to analyze such folder are no longer a problem. Folder and file names consisting completely of spaces can now also be proceeded (such names cannot be created by Windows means but it is possible to create them using specific tools like FAR commander)
  • For ICQ 7 file transfers, the software now shows sent/received file names
  • Invalid characters in profiles or contact names do not prevent creating a report any more
  • There has appeared a new column in a message list: message type. Now it is possible, for example, see all file transfers or calls in a row
  • Numerous bug fixes and enhancements

Encase integration
Belkasoft has recently released an Encase integration script. With the help of this script, users of Guidance Software's popular product are now able to import data from Belkasoft Forensic IM Analyzer directly to an Encase case. The script is completely FREE!

The new builds of these products include all the above mentioned enhancements made to Belkasoft Evidence Center, including multiple Skype improvements, ICQ and imdisk fixes.
